Change an Event Type

As of today, in order to not compromise existing event data and its registrations, if you want to change the event type of an event to something else, e.g., an event that was originally set as "open opportunity" to a recurring event, you would need to duplicate the event, so the details will be pulled over, and then select the event type to be "recurring" and vice versa if you had a recurring event and wanted to change the type to be an open opportunity. 

Note: if you have an event with recurrences and/or shifts, and you decided to duplicate the event to be a single day event without shifts, all the data will transfer over, except the shifts and all the recurrences. i.e., only one recurrence will be applied and saved over to the single day event.
