In order to help organizations and volunteers filter by opportunities that can be completed remotely, as well as by opportunities that specifically pertain to COVID-19, we have updated our event creation workflows for new and returning users.
List event workflow (new users)
For new users who have not yet created a group or account, you can go to www.givepulse.com/list by clicking List Event on the top right side of the www.givepulse.com landing page. This will lead you to the List Event workflow, where you can select that the event is virtual/remote using the toggle underneath Location. Next to the Virtual/Remote toggle is an optional space to input a Conferencing Link, which will tell users the URL to meet at for a virtual conference.
You will also be asked whether this is in response to COVID-19; selecting "Yes" tags the opportunity so that potential volunteers can filter opportunities by those related to COVID-19.
We also autopopulate the Requirement Details with COVID-19 safety measures for volunteers to take before making the decision to register for the event. All of this information is editable.
Add event workflow (group admins)
When creating or adding an event in your group, you can now tag an opportunity as Virtual/Remote using a toggle just below the End Address field. We have also changed this workflow so that address input is not required.
All of this information is editable in the event creation workflow under Advanced > Additional Info.
