Visual Impact Data: Insights, Word Cloud, Heat Map, and Cause Distribution

GivePulse provides each group with visual representations of volunteer activity within a group or network.

Insights Dashboard

From the Group Admin Dashboard, navigate to More Tools > Insights. 

Under Insights, you can see updated graphs and charts depicting Registrations, Hours, Impacts, and Volunteers overtime. Additionally, you can view impacts shared between your group and affiliate groups. If you're looking to view impacts over a specific timeframe, you can use our date filter. Toward the bottom of the insights page you can also see a bubble graph to see your group's cause distribution and a heat map to see where in the world your impacts are concentrated. 

Additionally, this is an Add On Feature where you can compare activity between any 2 or 3 groups within your network using Select Groups.

Word Cloud

Word clouds are great for visualizing volunteer reflection data and getting insights into trends and patterns.

From the Group Admin Dashboard, navigate to Impacts > Word Cloud. 

Heatmap

GivePulse offers a heat map feature that samples a random 10,000 impacts. Admins can choose and toggle from Heat Map to Cluster Map, filter date range, and sample data 'Within Network' or 'All Members' (including affiliates). The primary purpose of Heat Maps helps visualize the volume of locations/events within a dataset and assist in understanding areas of volunteerism data visualization.

Admins can navigate to the Heat Map feature from Impacts > Heat Map

NOTE: Heat Maps are available to GiveJoy, Give Together, and Give More subscriptions

Note: If the address location of the data is not accurate, it's quite possible the impact will be limited to just one area. Impact addresses are determined by the most specific location available to the system. For example, an impact tied to a shift will appear on the heat map at the shift address rather than the event or group address. 

Overlays: If there are disparate data sets you wanted to overlay with the heat map, you may do so by dragging and dropping the data into the map. In order to save and publish the maps, you must have a specific tier to do these types of analyses and data mapping.

Cause Distribution

Cause distribution can be informative and impactful data visualization for mission-driven organizations to quickly view the causes aggregated on the organization or campus events or impacts. This enables you to see and understand what causes are important to your members. The size of the circle corresponds to the number of impacts and hours logged by your group. The bubbles are created in real-time based on the data collected from the engagement and impacts of your members.

Note:
Impacts tied directly to groups with causes will display the group's causes.
Impacts tied to events with causes will display the event's causes instead of the group's causes. 

Admins can access the cause bubble chart to see the feature from Impacts > Cause Distribution.
