Through the GivePulse-Anthology Engage integration, a new tab will appear on your institution's engage instance that displays service opportunities posted on GivePulse.
This article will cover the following:
What is the Service Tab?
The service tab populates service opportunities from GivePulse, allowing students to find opportunities to get involved through Engage.
Through the Service Tab, users can search for service opportunities by date, cause, or skillset. If a user clicks on an opportunity in this tab, they'll be redirected to GivePulse where they can learn more and sign up for the opportunity.
The Service Tab also can be customized to enable/disable the Add Impact (Service Hours) and Submit Service Opportunity buttons. Displaying these buttons on the Service Tab gives users a seamless way to log their impact or submit a service opportunity to be posted on your institution's GivePulse instance.
How Service Opportunities Populate on GivePulse vs. Anthology Engage
There are differences when seeing opportunities on GivePulse and on Anthology's Engage "Service" section.
How long are events visible on each platform?
- GivePulse: Events and opportunities are displayed until the end of the day they started.
- Anthology Engage: Events in the "past" or currently "in progress" on Anthology Engage will not be displayed.
How are events with shifts/time slots ordered on each platform?
- GivePulse: When an Event has time slots, the first available slot will be prioritized for registration. For example, if there is a calendar with time slots on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and the upcoming registration is for today, it will be shown as the first opportunity on the list, even if there are future events.
- Anthology Engage: Events that are non episodic, such as events with time slots, will appear at the bottom of the list in Anthology Engage as they are categorized as "ongoing" or "open-ended" without a specific date or time.
On GivePulse, time slots are prioritized based on what is available to register.
