QR codes can be a useful way to access and clock into events. There are three ways to use QR codes to manage events: direct users to the registration screen; clock users in/out; and check users in. This article will cover each of the three use cases:
Event QR Code
Every event has a unique QR code that will take anyone who scans it directly to the event page. This allows users to log in and register for the event from their phone. If they are already registered, they will be able to use view their registration. The QR code can be screenshotted and emailed or printed for easy display.
The event QR code can be found from the Event Dashboard by following these steps:
Navigate to your Group Dashboard
Select Events > Manage Events
Click on the event you want to access
-
Locate the Event QR button in the top-right corner of the event page
Note that there will be two buttons. Make sure you are clicking the blue option.
Click the Event QR button
A new page will open displaying only the QR Code for that event
Clock-In QR Code
The Clock-In QR code allows users to clock themselves in for events. This function requires the user to have downloaded and logged into the GivePulse app.
This QR code will take the user to the event in the GivePulse app. They will land on a screen showing their registration and will receive a confirmation message.
