Internal vs. External Internships

When posting an internship on GivePulse, you have the ability to post it as internal or external. This setting controls how users apply to your internship and where the applications are stored. This setting is configured under Application Type in the Edit Internship workflow.

Internal Application

An internal application will be hosted within GivePulse. Users will apply to the application within GivePulse and you will be able to review their applications from the internship dashboard in GivePulse. 

External Application

An external application will be hosted outside of GivePulse. If you're using another platform to collect and review application, it is best to use the External application type. You'll be able to add in the URL of the page you are using to collect applications. When users click the Apply Now button on the internship page, they'll be directed to that link.
