You can embed the GivePulse LTI 1.3 into assignments and courses to manage service-learning and community engagement from one central location. For instructions on setting up this integration with Moodle using LTI 1.3, see below.

First, go to your group’s Admin dashboard.

Click on More Tools and then LTI.

You will then see the LTI Configuration screen below.

Use a different browser window/tab to log into Moodle (admin account) and navigate to Site Administration.
Click Plugins, then Manage Tools.

Under Manage Tools, click Configure a Tool Manually.

You’ll see a form to fill and complete.
- a.) Name the tool: GivePulse
- b.) Tool URL: https://yoursubdomain.givepulse.com/lti/course
- c.) LTI version: LTI 1.3.
- d.) Public key type: Keyset URL.
- e.) Public keyset: https://yoursubdomain.givepulse.com/lti/jwks
- f.) Initiate login URL: https://yoursubdomain.givepulse.com/lti/login
- g.) Redirection URI(s): https://yoursubdomain.givepulse.com/lti/course
- h.) Tool configuration usage: Select the option you’d like.
- i.) Default Launch Container: New window.
- Check off: Supports Deep Linking
- j.)Content Selection URL: https://yoursubdomain.givepulse.com/lti/course

Services:
- IMS LTI Assignment and Grade Services: Do not use this service
- IMS LTI Names and Role Provisioning: Do not use this service
- Tool Settings: Use this Service.

Under the Privacy section on this page:
- Share launcher's name with tool: Always.
- Share launcher's email with tool: Always.
- Accept grades from the tool: Never.

NOTE: The rest of the fields can be left blank/unchecked.

Hit Save Changes. You should see the tool you just created towards the bottom of the page.

Click the list symbol on your tool.

You’ll see a list of info here. Copy and paste it on a GivePulse configuration page we opened on a separate tab in step 3.
- Title: GivePulse/Name of your group (Any string you like)
- Issuer: copy and paste Platform ID
- Client ID: copy and paste Client ID
- Deployment ID: copy and paste Deployment ID
- Keyset Url: copy and paste Public Keyset URL
- Auth Token Endpoint: copy and paste the Access token URL
- Auth Request Endpoint: copy and paste the Authentication request URL
- Click Save

Adding the Tool to Moodle Course:
- On Moodle go to the course that you want to add the Tool to.
- Click Turn editing on, then click Add an activity or resource.
- Click External tool.
- For the Activity name, enter the name of the activity.
- For the Preconfigured tool, choose the Tool created earlier.
- Click Save and return to the course.
- Click the link to the Tool that was just added earlier and GivePulse interface should appear.
