How to Create a Time-Limited Fundraiser
From the group admin dashboard, navigate to Giving > Add Fundraiser.
Fill out required information for your fundraiser like name, type, timeframe and fundraising goal. To accept monetary donations, select Fundraiser. For in-kind donation collection, select Donation Drive.
GivePulse Pro Tip: If you choose to create a goal for your campaign, you can access GivePulse's Fundraiser Goal Calculator to help you set an attainable goal for your community.
Use the Advanced Tab to customize media, social media links, and causes connected to your campaign.
In the Fundraiser Tab, you can choose to enable Peer-to-Peer Fundraising. Click HERE to learn more about Peer-to-Peer Fundraising.
In the Checkout Tab, you can customize the thank you message that will appear after someone has donated to your campaign and create custom checkout questions to collect donor information at checkout.
In the Settings Tab, you can customize various settings to help donors better find and engage with the fundraiser.
Once the fundraiser has been set up and customized, click Publish to create your live fundraising page.
Note: Time-Sensitive fundraisers will not accept donations until the start date and time you set.
How to Create an Ongoing Fundraiser
You can set up an ongoing fundraiser, which will allow donors to create recurring donations for your organization. To enable this, when creating your fundraiser, select Open Opportunity as the type.
Once the fundraiser has been published, donors will be able to select the amount and frequency of their gift at checkout and donations will be charged to their credit card automatically. Donors can choose to make a one-time, weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annual donation.
Note: Recurring donations are not currently available for time-limited fundraisers.
How to Toggle a Fundraiser's Visibility
To adjust the visibility of a fundraiser exclusively within your network or a designated audience, you can update the privacy settings using the Privacy Level dropdown menu.
Subscription Note: Groups at the Give Joy subscription or higher have the ability to toggle a fundraiser's privacy level. To learn more, please visit the GivePulse Pricing Page. Groups at the free/basic subscription are only able to choose Public or Private - Affiliate Specific visibility options.
GivePulse Pro Tip: To make sure your fundraiser is visible to everyone, keep the Privacy Level set to Public. This will enable volunteers and community members will be able to search for your campaign.
How to Add a Fundraiser Countdown Clock
A countdown clock can be added to your fundraiser so donors can easily see how much time is remaining to reach the fundraiser goal.
From the fundraiser creation workflow, make sure the fundraiser is either single day or multiday, and then select the checkbox for Add countdown clock. Doing so will add a countdown clock overlaying the cover image of your fundraiser!
