GivePulse's login system can be integrated with a number of Single Sign-On (SSO) Authentication services, including LDAP, CAS, SAML, and Shibboleth. Enabling these authentication services will restrict access to only active students, faculty, and staff.
This article covers the following:
Existing SSO Technologies that Integrate with GivePulse
Single Sign On (SSO) may be set up for your group to allow users to easily login with their existing credentials instead of needing to create another account with new passwords.
The following are existing SSO technologies we integrate with out of the box:
- Shibboleth (We are Incommon Federated)
- CAS (Central Authentication Services)
- SAML equivalents
- LDAP
- AD & ADFS (Shib support)
Benefits of SSO Authentication
- Restrictive Access: Limit GivePulse access to active students, faculty, and staff. Alumni can be given access, if enabled.
- Universal Login: Allow users to sign in with their school login.
- Single Sign-On: Integrates with your existing authentication system.
- Data Integrity: Provide data integrity for reporting and assessment.
- Increase Adoption: Make it easier for students to get started with GivePulse.
Note: Enabling any authentication methods above will activate our white-label solution for your community.
GivePulse also has an API enabling third parties to interact and build on our existing platform. Please reach out to us at support@givepulse.com if you have any questions.
