Promoting an event is important if you want to do the following:
- Display an event you would like to share on your course page
- Display an event at the top of the list/queue for easy access
To promote, you must log in and be an admin of your course.
Once logged in, for any event you view inside GivePulse, on the right side bar, you will be able to see a button to "Promote" (as indicated below). Note, this will only exist for events that are "public" and not set as private events.
If you're the admin of several courses/groups, you can select which ones you would like the event to be promoted on.
Note: The admin of the event in question will have to approve this before it will be promoted. When you are also the admin of the event, it will automatically be approved.
If you are not the admin of the event, you will be able to approve the event by going to your event dashboard > Events > Promoted Events.
Upon approval, the event will appear at the top of the event feed, with the "Promoted" tag.
