As an administrator and event manager, when making a new event, you have the opportunity to update its registration settings.
This article will cover the following information:
Registration Settings Defined
There are many settings that event administrators can toggle under the 'Registration Settings' section of an event.
- Registration Open Date - Select an fixed date or relative date for registration to open.
- Registration Close Date - Select an fixed date or relative date for registration to close.
- Cancel Deadline Date - Select the latest a volunteer can cancel their registration.
- Approval Needed - An event or shift administrator must approve all registrations for an event
- Registrant must register to all dates - If there are shifts with the same name, users will be required to register for all shifts of a similar name in the series. If there are no shifts with the same name in the event, then users will be required to register to all shifts in the event.
- Enable Waitlisting - Allow for users to join a waitlist if there are no spots remaining. (Note: Users will move off the waitlist in the order they registered for the waitlist).
- Guest Registration - Allow users to register for an event without having a GivePulse account (Note: Guest registrants will still be required to enter in their name and e-mail address).
- Allow Minors - Allow users to add minors with their registration.
- Group Reservation Requests - Toggle if volunteers can reserve spots for a group. You can click here to learn more about group reservations.
- Lock Code - A lock code can be used to limit access to certain volunteers. You can click here to learn more about registration lock codes.
- Internal/External Registration - If set internal, users will only need to register on GivePulse to complete their registration. If set to external, users must complete an additional registration step on another website to be considered registered. Click here to learn more about external registration
- Waivers & Document Agreements - Uploading waivers to an event allows users to agree to any necessary forms before completing their registration. Click here to learn more about using waivers & document agreements on GivePulse.
- Ask User Affiliation - Allows users to indicate if they are registering on behalf of an organization.
- Require Custom Fields When Manually Registering Users - Requires an admin to complete any event custom fields when manually registering a user.
- Send Event Reminders - Choose how many event reminders registrants get about an event.
- Include QR Code - Creates a scannable QR code included in the confirmation email sent to users.
- Customize Confirmation Email - Allows admins to personalize the automatic email sent to users after registering for an event.
- Customize No Show Email - Allows admins to personalize the automatic email sent to users who are marked as 'No Shows' for the event.
- Remove Liability Waiver for Manual Registration - Disables the necessity for a liability waiver to be signed if a user clocks-in on the mobile app. Click here to learn more about how the mobile app clock-in/out feature works.
- Registration Statuses - Allows admins to toggle which registration statuses are present as options when a user is sign-in on the GivePulse app.
