Service Learning Courses can be managed by GivePulse through a deep integration with your existing Database or Learning Management System. In many instances, there needs to be a way to display the courses in a way that best visualizes your terms or semesters.
Note: This is meant for the system admin:
You can manage your terms (what is visible, are they open/closed and how to group them) by going to “Manage Group” -> “Academia” -> “Terms”.
We recommend every semester closing out the previous semester and making sure only the terms you want are visible.
Terms that are not visible but will be hidden on the public courses page. Note that the courses themselves for these terms are still accessible to users in them, and are visible on the management side.
If a term is marked as closed, all the courses in it will be marked as completed meaning that students can no longer add/edit impacts for them
You may group your course (public facing page) by [term code] or by [semester, year]. So if you have multiple Fall Semester terms, you can group them together by making sure semester/year are all the same for them.
Ordering of terms
You should always add start/end dates for the terms to ensure that they are ordered correctly to your students, faculty/staff and partners.
