Introduction to the Use Case Guide
We are excited to present the first volume of our use cases guide. Taken altogether, this guide will
offer an introductory handbook to help you leverage the GivePulse platform and scale your High
Impact Practices for your institution. Whether you are a brand-new GivePulse campus or have
been using the platform for years, we hope you will find something new to engage with your
communities on and beyond campus.
This first volume is about assessing and supporting learning and outcomes. We will share
examples of how our platform supports curricular & co-curricular learning, how it facilitates
experiential learning initiatives, how you can create inventories of resources for your students and
community, how you can add projects and pledges, how you can host virtual service-learning and
volunteer fairs, how you can empower use by your entire community, and more. We will also place
this within its essential framework: how these functionalities support the comprehensive
management and tracking of all activities, outputs (like hours and attendance), and impacts in your
community and ensure accurate data collection
In each section, we will share a description of the functionality and then will provide several use
cases and campus examples. These are meant to be starting points for brainstorming and planning
— the uses are not limited to the ones we mention here!
We are grateful to the partners who allowed us to share their work in this guide. If you have any
questions about the functionalities described, would like to offer additional use cases, or would
like to set up a demo to learn more, please contact usecases@givepulse.com.
