Widgets: Embedding Simple Widgets (Event List, Calendar, or Map)

Simple widgets allow you to display and embed GivePulse content on another website. You can even see a live example here: http://austintexas.gov/volunteer. 

Subscription Note: Simple widgets are available to groups with a free basic level subscription. Advanced widgets are able to GiveJoy subscriptions and higher.

Types of Simple Widgets

There are three types of simple widgets that users can use: event list, calendar, or map. Simple widgets will only display events that have the privacy setting set to Public.

Setting Up Your Simple Widget

As admin of a group, within the navigation bar, there is a "More Tools" section, inside which is "Widgets." This page allows you to set up templates to share, distribute, and embed widgets into your website. 

Follow the instructions on the page to successfully use the widget. This will involve using the HTML code listed in your specific group. By default the widget will show as a list. Users will be able to change between views when interacting with the widget.
